The Mission of the Friends of the Oscar Foss Memorial Library is to support the library through volunteering and fundraising to ensure its present and future success. The group endeavors to focus attention on the library and serve as a means for citizens to become acquainted and share mutual enthusiasm for its services.
There are a number of different ways you can give to your community and your library by joining the Friends:
Tier 1 – •$100 min. dues or 50+ hrs/year volunteering.
•2nd & 3rd tier perks, plus an exclusive yearly Friends’ Celebration Luncheon.
•Involvement: Access to changing Friends’ Displays, running the book sale, planning the yearly Friends’ program, and volunteering and fundraising.
Tier 2 – •Comprised of those that pay $50 and above annually, or put in between 25-50 hrs a year of volunteer hours.
•$50 min. dues or 25-50 hrs/year volunteering.
3rd tier perks, plus a $10 credit to patron account for fine waiving yearly.
•Involvement: administrative Friends role or a min. 25 hrs/year volunteering. Change Friends’ displays, run book sales and online selling, plan the yearly Friends’ program, and volunteering and fundraising.
Tier 3 – •$10 min. dues or 10-25 hrs/year volunteering, and the Junior Friends.
•Friends’ logo item at sign-on.
•Involvement: volunteering and meeting attendance optional; admin position unavailable.
